Description
Cronos by Heaps & Woods is a timeless decorative object for a home with a flair for natural materials. Inspired by classic design masters, the object not only has an organic and natural look, but also conveys a feeling of versatility. On the one hand, Cronos can be used as a lamp with a light source, but on the other hand, it only exists as a decorative object due to its aesthetic beauty.
Cronos is hand-woven in Bali from natural, high-quality rattan by a collective of artisans. Rattan is ubiquitous in Indonesia and is obtained from numerous palm species native to the Indonesian archipelago from sustainably managed forests. Heaps & Woods consciously works at a slower tempo and uses the traditional techniques that make each Heaps & Woods piece so special.
A simple electrical connection is included in the scope of delivery.
Shipping takes place directly from the workshop in Indonesia to the customers. Transport is included in the product price.

Founded by Marta and Louis, the Barcelona design house Heaps & Woods produces timeless and sustainable furniture that combines ancient craftsmanship with a unique story. The two founders met in Bali. Louis had moved there to study Indonesian carpentry techniques. Marta, an interior designer, was on a journey to discover the island’s spiritual culture and natural beauty. The initial personal relationship between the two later developed into the Heaps & Woods project, which arose from their shared love of iconic design and the desire to produce beautiful and sustainably manufactured furniture.
The craftsmen and suppliers are paid fairly and, where possible, industrially manufactured elements such as joints and nails are avoided to ensure minimal waste. A box with bubble wrap is currently used for transport. However, Heaps & Woods are in the process of switching to a more sustainable packaging option.
