Raïna is Rhaeto-Romanic for queen. The Swiss stone pine is also known as the Queen of the Alps. Nomen est omen. The Swiss stone pine produces a light and soft wood, which has proven itself for generations as a wonderful material for furniture carpentry. Its ingrown branches and fragrant scent make it unique and valuable in its own right.

Raïna combines fresh Swiss stone pine with contemporary furniture design and traditional craftsmanship. The restrained design of Raïna is carefully oriented towards the processing possibilities and the character of the Swiss stone pine wood and avoids any form constraints. The fusion of untreated Swiss stone pine wood and appealing aesthetics is surprising and new. The resulting effect is urban, handcrafted and discreet.

The Swiss stone pine wood for Raïna’s furniture comes from the Val Müstair. They are processed by hand in the local business, the traditional Swiss stone pine furniture carpentry Frars Hohenegger in Fuldera. Production is sustainable, regional and made to order. Incidentally, the offcuts from production are used to heat two residential buildings and the carpentry workshop.
