Description
The Carnivora is a successor to the Monstera. In contrast to these free-standing and room-sized predecessors, the Carnivora are table models. Nevertheless, they retain their playfulness and liveliness. These plant containers also seem to run away with their plants. The name Carnivora comes from these plants and alludes to their predatory behaviour. Each Carnivora planter is unique. Under each porcelain pot, the legs are attached in slightly different ways. That is why the position of one carnivora differs from the other: no two are alike. Each carnivora is processed twice in the kiln: after the porcelain has been shaped and dried, and after a high-gloss glaze has been applied. This thick layer of transparent glaze gives the surface depth and provides a beautiful reflection.
The Carnivora is available in three different sizes or models respectively:
The colours white-grey, pebble-grey, laurel-green, pine-green and ochre are available.

Tim van de Weerd (1982) makes remarkable traditional furnishings. Inspired by nature, he explores the correlation between the organic and the narrative, translating natural elements into beautifully tangible art. Brought to life through his precise craftsmanship, the objects bring nature inside spaces, blurring the boundaries between outside and inside.
